Job Description:

Our client, a commercial-stage medical device company, has an opening for a Senior Manager of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SEC reporting and technical accounting, excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and is a self-starter with the ability to thrive in collaborate team environment.


  • Assist in designing and implementation of new policies and procedures on the external reporting process
  • Manage the timely and accurate preparation of all external financial reports
  • Prepare disclosure checklists, ensure the filings are properly formatted and accurate and perform tagging procedures
  • Assist in preparing and updating the accounting policies and providing day-to-day operational guidance to business partners in the application of and adherence to the policies
  • Assist in the month-end close process including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations on equity and other non-recurring transactions
  • Support the equity accounting function related to share-based compensation, EPS and forecasting process related to the same
  • Support the finance and accounting team with timely and insightful research, documentation and guidance on technical accounting matters, including complex and non-standard transactions such as revenue recognition, derivatives, equity, and debt offerings, adoption of new standards, and general corporate accounting matters
  • Oversee compliance with SOX 404 internal control framework
  • Support and review annual proxy and other SEC files ensuring accuracy of applicable financial information
  • Support IR with investor deliverables such as earnings releases, investor Q&A and other presentations
  • Prepare various deliverables for the company’s internal management reporting including cash flows, equity rollforward and select KPI trending analysis
  • Assist in reviewing account balances and/or preparing necessary schedules to support year-end audit or quarterly reviews by an independent audit firm Ad hoc projects, analysis and reporting as required by management
  • Preparation of filings and documents required by the U.S. Securities and Exchange and Commission (“SEC”) for Pre and Post IPO and provide support for the quarterly earnings release process
  • Prepare and organize the quarterly SEC reporting calendar, which involves coordination with the external auditors, executives and members of finance, legal and other departments
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with SEC and GAAP reporting requirements and monitoring new pronouncements


  • CPA required (or preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant professional experience including Big 4 public accounting
  • Medical Device experience a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Prior Form S-1 preparation experience preferred
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Intacct, Sugar, intermediate Excel skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) preferred
