Given that we work remotely, our company connections are a mix of in-person and virtual events.
We got shoes!
Our fall events were kicked off with an employee donation drive of unwanted shoes to “Soles for Souls” . The organization reworks and reuses shoes & components to aid those in need. We were able to donate over 90 pairs to this worthwhile cause!
We got cookies!
October followed with a Fall Cookie Decorating Contest. Our employees got busy with their loved ones creating scary and fun pumpkin and ghost themed cookies within the contents of a decorating kit. Entries were presented and voted on virtually. The categories included Most Creative, Best Technique and Most Likely to be on Pinterest !
We got paint!
Acrylic painting kits soon arrived next to our homes. Brushes, paint, canvases and most importantly, an apron were included.
We were then virtually guided on how to paint a ghost on our own canvas! This included painting a very scary dark backdrop, leaves, trees and of course a ghost with a host of personalities! We were encouraged to add a broom, a hat, a belt, or anything else that we thought our ghost needed! This was a fun event that included much laughter and displayed our unique artistic abilities.
We got heart!
We gathered for a company lunch that allowed for in-person greetings and good wishes to each. Our holidays were then topped off with a holiday giving campaign. We had a chance to give back to charities that are near to us, with Murdock Martell providing a match. Gosh, that feels good!
Our staff routinely create amazing spreadsheets, but who knew they were so creative with food and paint as well? We definitely debunked an old tale that accountants are boring, and we shared many smiles along the way!
